1. Who operates this website
This portfolio is operated by Umair Shaikh, a full stack web developer based in Mumbai, India. Questions can be sent to umairshaikh7738@gmail.com.
2. Information you choose to share
The contact form asks for your name, email address, optional company, project type, and message. When you submit it, those details are sent through EmailJS to deliver the enquiry by email. This portfolio does not store enquiries in its own database.
3. Local preferences
The site uses local browser storage to remember the selected light or dark theme and an optional reduced-motion preference. These settings stay in your browser and are not used to identify you.
4. External services
The website offers optional Google Analytics 4 measurement and loads it only after you choose Allow analytics. EmailJS is loaded from jsDelivr only when the contact form is submitted. Google Analytics and EmailJS may process standard technical information; their privacy terms apply.
5. External links
Project, LinkedIn, GitHub, CodePen, WhatsApp, email, and phone links open third-party services. This policy does not control how those services handle information.
6. Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics 4 is opt-in. If you allow analytics, the site measures page views and selected interactions such as resume downloads, WhatsApp clicks, quote requests, and successful form submissions. Analytics data may include page paths, titles, interaction details, and standard browser and device information. If you choose Not now, analytics is not loaded; you can also clear the local preference or block cookies through your browser settings. Analytics is not used to identify you directly.
7. Data retention
This website does not keep a database of enquiries. EmailJS and the sender's and recipient's email providers may process or retain submitted details according to their own policies and settings.
8. Your choices
You may avoid the contact form and use email, phone, LinkedIn, or WhatsApp directly. You can clear saved theme and motion preferences through your browser's site-data controls.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated when the website's functionality or service providers change. The revision date at the top will be updated at the same time.
